Even a Wombat can have pets! This is Mochaccina (Mocha) Meowser. Mocha was a stray cat advertised online at the SPCA. Her shelter name was Chanel, which was very fitting for her diva attitude. Mocha had been at the shelter for 5 months prior to my first visit, so she was ready to get out of there.


Upon entering one of the 'cat rooms' at the SPCA, she was the only cat to shoot both her arms out of the cage door toward me and meowed like crazy. In the visiting room, she actually let me hold her, despite all that she had been through. Apparently, Mocha was found as a stray behind someone's house with a litter of kittens in the winter of 2009-2010. Mocha was left at the shelter as all of her kittens were adopted and only remained in the shelter for so long because of her loving attitude.

I adopted Mocha on October 6th, 2010. At the time, she was recently spayed, thus all of her belly fur was shaved off so she appeared to be a short-medium fur length cat. Needless to say, with a little love, she became quite the fluffball.
